This week, Benny Richards (8th grade) headed up a service project that I felt was worth sharing. Benny has been working hard to provide items for the Charlotte Hall Veterans' Home Holiday Shop. While doing that he got the idea to send every veteran a Christmas card. So in addition to his donations, he asked his class if they would help him make the Christmas cards for all of the residents there.
The 8th grade was happy to help Benny reach his goal, and we were able to make over 320 cards in a week. I attached some pictures of them making the cards. Good job Benny. His leadership and thoughtfulness are truly examples of what makes MCA shine in the community.
This is an amazing project and so thoughtful of Benny to initiate this! It is also so great the 8th graders and other grades pitched in on such a nice cause.
