| During the first week of school our 3rd grade students took on the challenge of rescuing Sammy the gummy worm in today’s science lesson! Sammy’s boat capsized, leaving his life preserver trapped underneath, and students had to work together—using only paper clips—to get the life preserver safely around him.
This hands-on activity built teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while giving students a chance to think like real scientists: testing ideas, adjusting strategies, and celebrating success.
Way to go, young scientists, for saving Sammy! 👏 |
