Intermediate School

At the intermediate grades, Mother Catherine Academy provides a safe, comfortable transition period for students moving from the primary level.  Through a collaborative approach, the grades 3-5 team work together to gradually prepare students for middle school by the time they finish 5^th grade.  Homeroom teachers have a specialty area that they utilize by teaching all three grades in that particular subject (LANGUAGE ARTS, MATH, SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES).  This allows for the highest quality of instruction, as well as teaching students how to transition to different teachers and be responsible for managing multiple supplies and assignments.  The intermediate team works together to provide the most beneficial instruction for each child and create consistent expectations in all classrooms.
