Living vs Non-Living

First grade went on a short walk around the school to explore the world around them. As they walked, they looked closely and pointed out examples of living things (like trees, grass, birds, or insects) and nonliving things (like benches, rocks, or sidewalks). Together, the class talked about what makes each item living or nonliving. This hands-on activity helped students connect classroom learning to the real world in a fun and interactive way.
